As with Part two Being a Christian after Salvation this article is designed and laid out to help the new Christian mature and grow in God’s Grace and His Word. Both articles are to be the basic building blocks of our Christianity that will guide us into being perfect in Jesus for salvation. (Hebrews 6:1)
13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13(KJV)
According to Webster’s New World Dictionary, Third College Edition, the definition of indoctrinate is 1) to instruct in, or imbue with (to permeate or inspire with principles, ideas, emotions, etc.), doctrines, theories, or beliefs, as of a sect. 2) To instruct: teach. The definition of doctrine (the root word of indoctrinate), is 1) something taught, teachings 2) something taught as the principles or creed of a religion, political party, etc. belief. I beg you to look at both definitions critically and get a clear understanding of the difference in the meaning of each. Doctrine is the process of teaching the actual creed of a religion or political party, etc., belief, whereas indoctrination is the process of how to and the frequency of teaching.
I’ll start at the beginning, at our birth, from our first breath. From the very moment we came into this world to our last breath we will be indoctrinated by people all around us. Now don’t get away from the definition above because we want to stay with the facts of life! When we were toddlers our parents and other “big people” was always telling us things like “don’t touch! that’s hot!”, “stop! You are going to get hurt.”, “2+2=4”, and as we grew older we were taught how to drive, yes, even “hey, it’s OK to have a few drinks everybody is doing it”, in advertising, they have become masters at indoctrination because they know that repetition drills their product into our minds for us to buy, just like the serpent did with Eve in the beginning, getting our greed involved in our decision making.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Genesis 3:6 (KJV)
These situations are examples of various forms of indoctrination.
For over 50 years I have done my best to analyze all the scriptures used in the Bible in dealing with what Christian Character is about. This journey started when I was around 7 years old my great-grandmother, Ma Kent, had me memorize a saying she taught her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren…
”I don’t care what you do, as long as you please God first, sit up straight, look people in the eye and always tell the truth”.
On many occasions I would ask her to explain what this meant, and her answer was always the same…”The answer is in the Bible and it is just for you, but you must listen to the Holy Spirit for the answer.”
I don’t have a “PHD, MD, or Dr” after my name but what I do have is a real everyday “school of hard knocks” (SHK) degree. I’ll also admit that as I look back over my life of 75 years, I can see that I have been extremely blessed by God with Christian parents, Dan and Winnie Miller, and Christian guidance not only by them but by my grand-mother, Pearl (Cox) Putt, and great grandmother, Fannie (Goodwin) Kent. All of them had this view of God and being a Christian:
First…. For themselves and the family unit
13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 -14 (KJV)
Secondly….for their children
6Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)
11Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. Proverbs 20:11 (KJV)
10But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:10-17 (KJV)
“My great-grandmother believed these scriptures to be the sole foundation of raising her children. To her these scriptures were the foundation of family life and she measured her children’s character by them.
As my Mom put it… “Kenneth, the whole Bible is wrapped up in this statement. As you un-wrap it, more is revealed to you.” Honestly, it has taken me over 50 years to un-wrap it and this is what I have found so far:
What we see/hear/touch/taste/and smell (our 5 senses)
Goes into our mind, which demands a thought,
Every thought demands an action,
Every repeated action creates a habit,
Every habit builds our character,
Jesus will judge every character.
This process not only expands my great-grandmother’s instruction but is also based on.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 1 Corinthians 3:10 (KJV)
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Hebrews 4:12-13 (KJV)
Accept it or not, the exact same thing happens in the religious world, go back and look at Genesis 3:6. We are dealing with our Spiritual future that will last till the end of time as we know it. I don’t know about you but as for me this subject is extremely important! I want to have eternal life with Jesus when my spirit leaves this world. In other words, I do not want eternal damnation with no hope. Therefore, the doctrine that I believe, teach, and live by must be the same doctrine that the Savior (Jesus) expects me to believe and live by because I must meet Him on His terms not mine to have Salvation.
What does this have to do with indoctrination? Everything! Let’s take a quick look at the difference.
From God’s point of view.
We will lose our salvation if we add to or take away from the Word of God
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV)
Without Jesus we are nothing
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:5,8 (KJV)
Not everyone shall enter into the kingdom of heaven
12 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
13 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:13-14, 21-23 (KJV)
In vain they do worship me
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for
doctrines the commandments of men. Matthew 15:7-9 (KJV)
From Man’s point of view
They will not endure sound doctrine
1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Timothy 4:1-4 (KJV)
Do not associate with deceivers
7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. 2 John 1:7-11 (KJV)
Can you see the difference between God’s view and Man’s view? Now, we are ready to show without a doubt or any type of confusion how mankind from Jesus’ day up to today has indoctrinated the world with a twisted version of God’s Word. This action is leading thousands upon thousands of people to eternal damnation! As for me and my house we will teach only the Word of God as it is written in the Bible because that is the true Word of God.
Just look at what the apostles were up against, they had their hands full in trying to get the Christians of their day to understand that in God’s sight there is no denominationalism but only ONE Church. Over 2,000 years later we still have the same problem. I don’t know about you but in my book, this sure looks like selfish greed on our part!
Here is the truth and we can’t change it no matter how hard we twist it. As I mentioned earlier, indoctrination is “the process of how and the frequency of teaching” a doctrine (good or bad). Unfortunately, denominations are on the “bad side” because they have taken the doctrine of God and have twisted it into a totally different meaning.
One Lord, one faith, one baptism
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Ephesians 4:2-7 (KJV)
The birth of denominationalism
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 1 Corinthians 3:1-10 (KJV)
From these verses we can clearly see denominationalism in its early stages. As it was then so it is now, mankind will twist the truth into what they want to believe, not what God intended, this is greed in the purest form. Since greed is a sin, the only result will be eternal damnation with no hope.
9 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
10 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV)
Thank you, Ken, for the history lesson, how does this fit with indoctrination? Well, allow me to lay it out in very simple language.
We need to realize that while the Apostles were alive there was no Bible (“that which is perfect”), which is why all the Apostles had to write God inspired letters to the different congregations of believers, which was later included in the Bible as we know it. These letters were for the churches of the past, but are God Breathed for correcting the churches of the present. That is why it is so vital we stick to scripture and stay away from denominational doctrine. Understanding that Denominational Doctrine will happen, is why God, in all his wisdom, gave us the Apostles and their letters of instructions.
So, how can we correct Denominationalism? Jim Wallis said in his book … “REDISCOVERING VALUES, On Wall Street, Main Street, and Your Street, a Moral Compass for the New Economy”.
”When you start with the wrong question, no matter how good an answer you get, it won’t matter much.
“We need to find where we made our wrong turns and how we got off track; then we need face the truth of what brought on this crisis—even if that truth is uncomfortable and, especially, if some of those answers can be found in the mirror.
“To get out of a destructive cycle, to stop spinning in circles, and to break bad habits, we need a change, a different direction, new habits. When we clear the space of something old, we finally have room for something new. If we clear out the weeds, we can let the new flowers grow.”
Here is the question, what does denominational doctrine look like?
8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Col 2:8 (KJV)
One typical example is how faith-only denominations twist God’s Word to fit their belief. They will quote scripture and only teach the part that they want you to believe that applies to their doctrine only, instead of teaching the Big Picture of the complete passage. This manipulation will deliberately lead the reader into believing their interpretation and totally miss what God is saying, we see this in Acts 16:25-34 when the jailor asked Paul “What must I do to be saved?”.
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. Acts 16:25-34 (KJV)
Paul did say …”Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house” in verse 31, however he also said something else in verses 32-34. What did he say? Faith only denominations do not believe that baptism is a critical part of the salvation process, therefore, they will not mention these three verses. This is not a trick question, but I must ask it. Are they taking away from God’s Word? Are they teaching the truth according to God’s Word? Have they violated Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV)?
Here is what really happened to Paul concerning his conversion.
6 And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.
7 And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
8 And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.
10 And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.
11 And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.
12 And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,
13 Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.
14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Acts 22:6-16 (KJV)
Faith only groups will do their best to convince you that Paul was converted on the road to Damascus. Can you see anywhere in the above scripture that he was? When did Paul receive salvation according to the scripture? Going back to Acts 16:25-34, if Paul was required to be baptized to have salvation…Why would he change God’s Word into “believe only” just for the jailor and his house?? And why didn’t God include it in His Word?
These types of groups have become masters at what society calls “playing on words” to lure you into their way of belief. The Bible speaks explicitly on this. Here are some more sample verses that some Faith Only denominations use to support their belief. These are the primary verses they use “to led someone to salvation” but notice they do not believe that Baptism is part of the salvation process therefore they never mention it, however, they will try to explain it as being necessary for “church membership and privileges”.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)
- For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
- Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Acts 16:31a (KJV)
- Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…
Titus 3:5 (KJV)
- Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
- For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
These scriptures are only snapshots and leave out significant components that tell the whole story of salvation (all snapshots do this). The way these verses are being presented to non-believers is leading them to believe they could intentionally “live like hell” and still get into heaven (“once saved always saved”). While we all fall short of God’s glory and can repent, there is a difference between messing up, confessing, repenting, and intentionally living in sin when you know better or planning to confess and then repent.
Faith-only groups want a quick fix to salvation and have Learned how to misrepresent God’s Word to do this.
All these verses interact with each other and other verses to develop a “Believing Faith.” When we follow through with Baptism, we show our faith in obedience. Believing in Jesus is the starting point of faith. Even the demons believe. I would urge the readers to ask themselves this question that Mike Gutkin ask people when he preaches “Do we have faith if we cannot follow through with something as simple as baptism?”.
Some Denominations have taken this verse and ignored it through their theology, implying that only some scripture is God’s inspiration. In contrast, if you have eyes to see, a reader can see that God inspires all scripture. A correct translation to the current phrase “inspiration of God” would be God-breathed.
- All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
- That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)
Discussion Example (From several Denominational Statements of Doctrine)
(This example has been created from statements of faith made by several denominations; it also has been modified by adding two or three doctrines together. Since this writing is not directed at any one denomination but at all of them, no specific names are mentioned. I have added special characters for emphasis.)
Local Church Opening Statement
“…With the 1981 committee, we have been guided in our work by the 1948 “statement of the historic “The Local” conception of the nature and function of confessions of faith in our religious and denominational life….” It is, therefore, quoted in full as a part of this report to the Convention:
(1) That they constitute a consensus of opinion of some “The Local” body, large or small, for the general instruction and guidance of our own people and others concerning those articles of the Christian faith which are most surely held among us. They are not intended to add anything to the simple conditions of salvation revealed in the New Testament, viz., repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
(2) That we do not regard them as complete statements of our faith, having any quality of finality or infallibility. As in the past so in the future, “The Local Church” should hold themselves free to revise their statements of faith as may seem to them wise and expedient at any time…
“The Local” churches, association, and general bodies have adopted confessions of faith as a witness to the world, and as instruments of doctrinal accountability. We are not embarrassed to state before the world that these doctrines we hold precious and as essential to the “The Local” tradition of faith and practice.”
“Article II. God –“ ‘…The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. (A) God the Father, (B) God the Son, (C) God the Holy Spirit.”
“Article VII. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper – ‘…Being a church ordinance, it (Baptism) is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord’s Supper.”
Analysis of their Statement:
This church means well and is very sincere in its desire to serve God but their Statement when compared to scripture has missed God’s intended plan for mankind. Let us examine some problematic points in their statements.
- “That they constitute a consensus of opinion of some “The Local” body, large or small, for the general instruction and guidance of our own people and others concerning those articles of the Christian faith which are most surely held among us.”
Contradiction: The Local Church is leaning on their own opinions. The Bible tells us to lean on scripture and avoid the “teaching for doctrines of commandments of men.
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Matthew 15:7-9 (KJV)
1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:1-6 (KJV)
Solution: No matter what physical church you attend, validate everything you learn with scripture. If you cannot, then it is not biblical.
- “They are not intended to add anything to the simple conditions of salvation revealed in the New Testament, viz., repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.”
Contradiction: They make a point of saying you have salvation with faith only. This point is valid when you understand that baptism is a condition of that faith. It justifies your faith. If you cannot come to allow yourself to be baptized as the Bible instructs, do you truly have faith? What is your excuse? Do you say, “I don’t have to, so I am not doing it!” That is a very arrogant reasoning that genuinely does not glorify God. Strictly in that sense, do you genuinely have salvation if you don’t have enough faith to obey God’s will? Even the demons believe James 2:19, does that mean that they are saved also?
This brings up a very logical question that must be asked. “Since Jesus said that we must “believe and be baptized” to be saved, and this part is left out of their doctrine then have they not fell into the situation that is described in Rev. 22:18-19?
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:15-16 (KJV)
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV)
“Article II. God –“ ‘…The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. (A) God the Father, (B) God the Son, (C) God the Holy Spirit.”
Contradiction: The first part of this statement is true, however, they make their mistake when they call Jesus a God and the Holy Spirit a God, saying God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit” puts all three persons on the same level. The Spirit of God the Father is in both, but that does not make them a God. When we are saved does that make us Jesus? Or a God because Jesus is a God? Let me quickly say this for the record. God the Father gave Jesus, dominion over a lot of Spiritual situations like; being solely responsible for judging our thoughts and heart for Salvation; He is the “Tree of Life”; Jesus is the “Word”, and the list goes on and on. Likewise, God the Father gave the Holy Spirit certain responsibilities and power in guiding the believer through life staying in the guidelines that we are to follow, as well as, offering up our prayers to God on our behalf; the Holy Spirit is the main channel that the “Fruits of the Spirit” are given to us when we become baptized believers and the list keeps going. So, when we look at these attributes, yes it does make them seem like a god, but they are in God the Father making up the “Trinity”.
5 So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.”
6 As He also says in another place: “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek”;
7 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,
8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,
10 called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,”
11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. Hebrews 5:5-11 (KJV)
“Article VII. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper – ‘…Being a church ordinance, it [Baptism] is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord’s Supper.”
Contradiction: This is not biblical because they are talking about being baptized into the local church and not Jesus. In essence they have totally ignored Romans 6: 3-5 and as such have “taken away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Rev. 22:19).
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Romans 6: 3-5 (KJV)
Having just “scratched” the surface of several subjects we have seen how easy it is to twist God’s Word (because of our greed) and make it a doctrine that God disapproves of, because we have indoctrinated/ in steeled it into our character.
See Part two Being a Christian after Salvation for deeper understanding of the Doctrine of Christ.
There will be more on these subjects coming soon.
May God bless and keep you.
